Our
Chillicothe office is open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through
Thursday; Friday 8:0 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
and on Saturdays and Sundays from 8 a.m. to noon until June 1, 2008. After June 1, 2008 our Chillicothe office hours will be 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday throught Friday; 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. Our Waverly office
is open Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. When our Waverly
office
closes, all calls are automatically transferred to the Chillicothe
office. If our Chillicothe office is closed, our telephone is
answered
by pediatric nurses who are trained to respond to your medical needs
and to inform the physician on call when an emergency situation
occurs.
As a group practice,
children are seen by all the physicians in our group. A group practice
provides several benefits, the most important being
that someone is available to care for your child at all times. In
addition,
you
and
your child
are able to become familiar with all of the doctors. If
an emergency should arise, you can feel
comfortable
that
the doctor will be someone with whom you are already familiar.
Another important
benefit of group practice isn't as easy for the patient or parent
to see
- when
several doctors are involved in caring for your child, they have an
opportunity to see, assess and talk about your child's development,
illnesses, and progress. This physician interaction is extremely valuable,
especially when a child comes to us with unusual symptoms or a complex
problem.
We understand,
however, that patients and parents sometimes develop a particular
preference
for one doctor or another. If this is the case, please be assured that
we will do everything we can to accommodate your choice whenever
possible.
This will almost always be possible for routine checkups and the like.
But because of scheduling, hopital duty, vacations, and education
programs,
we may not be able to accomodate your physician request for urgent
appointments and sick visits.
Even though we
keep regular office hours, one of our doctors is always available -
days, nights, weekends and holidays - to provide emergency care for
your child.
