Our Physicians
When you first come to our practice - and throughout your experience with
us - we ask a lot of questions about your child, you, and your family.
So we think it's only fair that we share a little about each of
our staff...
Dr.
Fleischer is co-founder of Smith & Fleischer Pediatric
Group. He was born and raised in New York City, but moved
to Chillicothe
in 1955. Dr. Fleischer is a graduate of the University of Michigan

Dr. Lowell Smith, and the two of them decided to start a practice
together.
They selected Chillicothe, Ohio as their home because there
were no pediatricians in the community and no pediatrics
department
at the hospital.
Dr. Fleischer
said he became a pediatrician because he appreciates how wonderfully
direct and honest children can be. "You always know exactly
where you stand." Dr. Fleischer is board certified by
the American Board of Pediatrics and is a Fellow of the American
Academy
of Pediatrics.

enjoyed
working with children and helping them to feel better. While
still in the Air Force, Dr. Ater completed his residency in
pediatrics
at Fitzsimmons General Hospital in Denver, Colorado. From there,
he served as an Air Force pediatrician in both France and
