Adena Health System offers both inpatient and outpatient Behavioral Health Services. Mental health professionals in both programs are prepared to evaluate, treat and provide each patient an individualized treatment plan for their road to recovery.
Outpatient services are provided at The Adena Counseling Center, located at 455 Shawnee Lane, Chillicothe, Ohio. Services offered here are for people who experience problems with work, relationship or who have symptoms such as depression or anxiety to name a few. Treatment is accomplished through medication therapy as well as individual, group or family counseling.
Outpatient Treatment Staff consists of:
- Psychiatrists (MD or DO)
- Psychologist (PhD)
- Clinical Social Workers and Counselors (LISW, LPCC)
- Psychiatric Nurses (RN)
- Mental Health Technicians

Inpatient services at Adena Health System provides diagnostic and treatment services for adults who are in acute crisis due to mental illness or emotional distress. The program is designed to stabilize patients in a short term environment allowing for healing, growth and facilitating return to daily routines/lives.

- Psychiatric Nurses (RN)
- Mental Health Technicians
- Music Therapist
- Consulting Psychologists (PhD) as needed
